How to diagnose shoulder pain
There many factors and causes that can trigger shoulder pain. Within the shoulder’s joint, there is a rotator cuff, which, if injured, can lead to a tendinitis. If that happens, the increase of fluid inside this joint results in restriction of motion. Another condition that anyone may suffer from is the impingement of the shoulder. Here are some of its symptoms:
- Pain from raising your arm as far as it can go= impingement
- Front shoulder pain as a result of pushing arm down= tendonitis
- Resistance to flexing elbow= labrum tear
- Relocated shoulder= torn labrum
An injury that applies pressure on the shoulder or strange spurs on the bones can cause shoulder pain too. Calcium intake and arthritis contribute also, so call our experts at CEDA health center and have yourself checked.

What should I do if I get shoulder pain from sleeping on my side?
Alternating the sleeping position can be helpful. In fact, if you are always sleeping on one side, that can cause tendinitis in the future, so try to switch. But if you feel pain in both shoulders it is suggested to sleep on your back. Elevating the height of the pillow can also help.
The doctors at CEDA health center in Miami recommend the following tips to mitigate your shoulder pain: apply ice to the affected area, elude taking hot showers the first two days of pain, use a sling to carry the weight of the shoulder and massage the shoulder.
